Launched in 2023 by Kildare Tourism and Solas Bhríde, this inspiring movement celebrates St. Brigid, the Bringer of Peace, and has become a global tradition. Beginning in New Zealand, the Pause for Peace ripples across continents, uniting communities in a shared moment of reflection and commitment to peace.

This free public concert will take place on Brigid’s Day itself and will be the ultimate celebration of the Spirit of Brigid, in the company of some of the most vital Irish female artists of all time – and music laced with a special sense of the courageous Irish female spirit in glorious action.

In collaboration with Wild Kids Forest School, we're delighted to have received funding from Brigid, Spirit of Kildare! Come and spend the morning weaving some Brigid's Crosses with us, on my land in Donadea, we'll have fire and tea and tasty treats, and we'll explore making different types of Brigid's crosses and also the God's eye weave!

The Allen Heritage and History Brigid day walk will begin with assembly in Allen Hall please register in the hall where volunteers will be on hand. 

The walk sets off in small groups heading to Crosspatrick hill and back through St. Brigid's path and return to Allen Hall for light refreshments and some chat.
