A celebratory day of inclusive family events

Riverbank Arts Centre, Main Street, Newbridge, Co. Kildare

Saturday January 25th

Making a spring inspired picture bookmark. Let your kids enjoy the sensory craft of wet felt making. This active craft is the oldest form of textile making in the world. It involves soap, water and wool fibre as well as lots of rubbing and rolling. Many children enjoy the sensory experience of “messy play” and seeing the change from fibre to felt is magical and helps kids gain an insight into how processes can change materials. They will go away with their own bookmarks, creating spring scenes – little pictures to keep and treasure.
